I've been complaining to my doctor for over a year that I have been experiencing noticeable cognitive difficulties, for instance problems doing simple math, counting, and forgetting what I'm doing while I'm completing a task. I've also had weird tingling sensations in my hands and feet, I am less sensitive to touch, and I have been having problems with my coordination.

After having a battery of inconclusive tests run, and being discounted by my doctors as a hypochondriac, I started googling for answers. I assumed that I must have a vitamin deficiency, because I don't have any medical problems aside from allergies, and it seemed much more likely that I would have a vitamin deficiency than some rare disease. The only vitamin I could find that would cause these strange symptoms I was experiencing was B12. So I picked up a bottle of the Nature's Bounty Sublingual B12 at my local supermarket for all of $2.75, figuring that the cost was worth the experiment.

Lo and behold, only a few hours after taking the first dose the fog lifted! At first I thought it must be a placebo effect, but I have been consistently feeling much better each day since I started taking the supplement. I hope that with time, I will gain better sensation back in my fingers, but I am so happy to have the ability to remember basic things (getting out the door in the morning would often take me several trips before I remembered everything) that I'm not sure I even care that much.

My B12 level was at 440 pg/mL... far within the levels considered acceptable by my HMO. It's so frustrating to have seen multiple doctors who would ignore symptoms because a piece of paper indicated that there was nothing wrong. I hate to think how much permanent damage has been done to my brain as a result of a year with a deficiency, and how much potential I have lost wasting my 24th year of life in a haze.

Anyways, I am very happy with the B12 supplement. It really does taste good, to the point that you almost want to eat them like candy! Someone else had posted that they doubted the absorbency of this form of B12, but I think the noticeable results I've experienced are proof that it does absorb well. It's so inexpensive compared to the other supplement brands I've always purchased (like Twinlab and Rainbow Light) that I am very, very pleased.
